For our Parts Retail Department, we are looking for a:


INVENTORY CONTROL ADMINISTRATOR


Description
The Inventory Control Administrator is responsible for all activities related to Management of Inventory.


Job Duties/ Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain stocking levels (re-order point, maximum level) based on ICM Setup and update to reflect material consumption patterns.
  • Monitor and ensure that Parts stock availability (Min and Max control), and in case of stock-outs, analyze the cause and take necessary measures to ensure Parts availability.
  • Collaborate with the end-users for stocking strategy, review the stocking level suggested by the end-users to establish optimal stocking level.
  • Support in developing inventory optimization strategy and implementation plan to optimize inventory mix and meet service level objectives.
  • Support to identify and execute objectives and initiatives to achieve inventory optimization goals.
  • Support in developing and implementing stocking strategy decision tools to achieve optimal stocking levels.
  • Identify Surplus inventory such as obsolete, excess, slow-moving or non-moving materials to reduce inventory value and carrying cost.
  • Support in developing inventory forecasting models for future demand.
  • Coordinate Parts returns.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control reports for department management.


Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or other equivalent education with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience within the Supply Chain.
  • Statistics training is a pre.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Experienced in analyzing and processing of data.
  • Experience with Project Planning.
  • Experienced in PowerBi.


Reporting structure
The Inventory Control Administrator reports to the Acting Parts Superintendent.

 

Work Schedule

  • 45 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
  • The base work location is at Surmac Paramaribo, and the working hours are from 7:00 – 16:00.
  • Availability for work at various Surmac locations.
  • Availability outside standard working hours, if required.
